Beck Group Moves to New Office at One Alliance Center
May 12, 2008
The Beck Group announced today that it recently moved its Eastern Division headquarters and Atlanta
offices to a new 10,000 square foot space in Buckhead at One Alliance Center, 3500 Lenox Rd., Suite
250.
Beck vacated a 7,500
square foot office on the ninth floor at Piedmont Center (Building 15) that the firm occupied for
the last nine years.
Some of the projects the
firm is currently working on include the renovation/expansion of the Neiman Marcus store at Lenox
Square, MLK Federal Building and Brookhaven Place.
Fred Perpall, Beck's managing principal and director of architecture, led a comprehensive
effort over three months designing and renovating the new office.
"We have an integrated approach at Beck, and our challenge in securing a new space was to
create a culture that reflected this dynamic and interactive process," said Perpall. "I am
confident the end result is incredibly open, efficient and flexible, thus enhancing the ability of
our team members to communicate well and work together."
The space also provides direct views to an adjacent site where the firm is building one of
Atlanta's newest high rise office buildings, Two Alliance Center. This will provide a
tremendous opportunity for training, something Beck places a high emphasis on, added Perpall.
Green features in the office include automatic lights, recycled carpet, ceiling and light
fixtures and furniture and HVAC systems.
The length of the new lease lasts four years. Sam Holmes, a Vice Chairman and Anne Lofye, a
Senior Vice President, both with the Atlanta office of CB Richard Ellis, represented Beck in the
deal.
