Lunch With A VIP: David Felföldi, founder, Sherpa! WebStudios
June 1, 2008
The Restaurant: Buckhead Diner
N aming his company after the Himalayan mountaineering guides – Sherpas – who form strong bonds with their rock-climbing charges, Felföldi’s organization recently won top search engine marketing honors from the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association for its work with Spanx.
“Search engine optimization (SEO) is all about building an online brand,” says Felföldi, who did quite a lot of rock climbing in his younger days.
“It’s all about finding that balance between a good online experience and enabling you to engage in a digital online marketing campaign.”
Felföldi founded his own company, Vascent, with a business partner when he was 18. In 2006, he branched out on his own again with Sherpa! WebStudios, an interactive marketing and SEO/design company.
“We’re very selective about who we take as a client,” he says. “In fact, we’ve actually fired some clients for one reason or another. And no client has left us.”
Felföldi actively is involved with the community through publication in trade journals and various non-profits.
