Profiled by Jenn Dennard; Collette Parker; Allison Shirreffs; Terri Thornton; and Tim Darnell, Editor

July 1, 2008

Online exclusives: Click below to hear our Women of Excellence reflect on their careers, influences and industries, as well as the city which they call home.

W hen planning for the 10th annual Women of Excellence feature, it was important to highlight a wide range of industries and sectors. That’s why, today, you’ll read about lawyers and communicators, accountants and entrepreneurs, and vice presidents alongside retiring executives.

This region’s most noted private entities and organizations are found as well – CNN, The Home Depot, UPS – as well as others whose aim is more philanthropic, such as Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund. The endless debate over the role of women in business would be moot if other American and international organizations would employ Atlanta’s public and private sectors as their model.

For 10 years, Business to Business has been metro Atlanta’s only media outlet to devote a regular editorial endeavor that profiles this area’s leading female professionals. Rest assured that, a decade from now, the 20th annual feature will include individuals inspired by the ones profiled below.
